Birthday Outreach

A precious young lady named Sophie is giving away her 11th birthday to others this year. She is celebrating her special day by spending time serving at Guiding Light Maternity Home and their new ministry space, the Resting Place. If you’d like to help her celebrate, READ THIS LETTER she’s written to us. Click below.

At Bible Blast to the Past, kids will participate in the large-group excitement of Blast to the Past Bash, experience God’s Word at Timeless Truth Tent, learn ways to serve others at Mission Quest Cave, discover ancient arts and facts through science and crafts at Discovery Ruins, and enjoy snacks and games at Backtrack Bazaar. There’s even a place for the littlest explorers at Playtime Pasture!

Supply our Sisters

Most womenSOS logo in color (2) have monthly menstrual cycles.  This requires a monthly supply of feminine hygiene products.  Women make up 32% of the homeless population.  Feminine hygiene products are essential, but are rarely donated to homeless shelters and women’s resource centers.  As a result, acquiring basic feminine hygiene supplies every month is a silent struggle for many homeless and poor women in our communities.  The inability to meet this basic, recurring need is often a private, humiliating disgrace.

“Supply Our Sisters” (SOS) is a month-long collection of pads and tampons.  Eight churches in the Bluffton and Pandora communities are participating.  Donations will be distributed to The Samaritan House and Crossroads Crisis Center in Lima, Ohio.

Please place your donations in the box located at the back of the 1st UMC sanctuary throughout March. Questions? Contact Amy Mikesell at amymikesel (at) gmail.com.
